Lt. Gov. Bill Halter kicked off a series of town hall meetings for his U.S. Senate campaign in Pine Bluff Thursday evening, noting Jefferson County strongly supported his drive for the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.
Halter, who pledged earlier to hold a town hall meeting in each of the state's 75 counties, told the crowd that he is ready to do battle in Washington with special interests that are not on the side of Arkansans.
